On Tuesday, former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton announced via Twitter that she was firmly on the side of Disney in its "war" against Republicans and those who support parental rights.

The entertainment giant has found itself at the center of the culture wars as of late, with Florida governor Ron DeSantis and other members of the GOP calling out its descent into wokeness.

"As Republicans declare war on Disney, I know whose side I'm on," Clinton stated, tweeting out a photo of her and her family posing with Donald Duck.

Twitter users slammed the former first lady for siding with "the groomers," citing Disney's recent attempts to "sexualize children."

"We all used to love Disney til they started trying to sexualize our children," said former Arizona congressional candidate Josh Barnett. "IDC what grown adults do or what they think they are but stay away from our kids! Gay or Straight, Sexualization of any kind should never happen!"

The company's Orlando theme park is set to host a summit billed as "the largest LGBTQ+ conference in the world." Organized by Out & Equal, the event aims to advance "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights in the workplace."

Aside from pandering to LGBTQ groups, Disney has ramped up its efforts to include aspects of critical race theory in content aimed at children.

In 2022, Disney came out in opposition to Florida's Parental Rights in Education Act, which they termed the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

Disney's activism led many Republicans, not least Gov. DeSantis, to call the company out for going against the wishes of parents, most of whom supported the legislation.

In January DeSantis hit back, announcing a plan to replace Disney's self-governance with a state-run board. A month later, he signed a bill to accomplish just that. "The corporate kingdom finally comes to an end," he stated.
