US Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Tuesday that the agency deported a Jordanian illegal immigrant who was identified as a known or suspected terrorist after he was arrested by Border Patrol near Lynden, Washington while attempting to cross the northern border illegally.

ERO Seattle assumed custody immediately and, on November 15, after immigration proceedings, removed 41-year-old Mohammad Hasan Abdellatif Albana, who has ties to terrorism, to be deported to his home country of Jordan.

Field Office Director Drew H. Bostock said in a statement: “ICE Seattle is committed to the removal of noncitizens who pose a risk to the national security of the US. Our officers perform these removals dutifully as a part of a federal law enforcement effort to protect Pacific Northwest Communities.”

Illegal border crossings from Canada into Washington state are on pace to shatter last year’s record of men, women, and children attempting to illegally cross the northern border. Border Patrol agents have understaffed the area and illegal border crossers have taken advantage of the situation.

As a result, members of the vicious Venezuelan Tren De Aragua gang previously infiltrated Riverton Park United Methodist Church, an illegal immigrant camp near Seattle.

According to the US Department of Homeland Security, illegal crossing numbers have increased at higher rates in parts of New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont, as the US northern border saw a 550 percent increase in illegal immigrant crossings in the 2023 fiscal year.

A border agent said, on condition of anonymity, that due to most of the resources being allocated to the crisis at the southern border, the northern border is being left vulnerable to more illegal immigration and smuggling.
