BREAKING: Military identifies the five crew members missing in deadly helicopter crash

The five missing members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been identified following the deadly crash of a CAF Cyclone helicopter on Wednesday.

Five members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been identified as missing following the crash of a CAF Cyclone helicopter on Wednesday.

The names are:

  • Capt. Brenden Ian MacDonald of New Glasgow, N.S. He is one of the pilots.
  • Capt. Kevin Hagen of Nanaimo, B.C., the other pilot.
  • Capt. Maxime Miron-Morin, of Trois-Rivieres, Que.
  • Sub-Lieutenant Matthew Pyke, Naval Weapons Officer of Truro, Nova Scotia
  • Master Corporal Matthew Cousins of Guelph, Ontario

Sub-Lieutenant Abbigail Cowbrough of  Toronto was confirmed dead Thursday morning.

HMCS Fredericton continues its search for these five crew members with assistance from NATO.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Trudeau said, ""All of them are heroes. Each of them will leave a void that cannot be filled."
