"Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of sh*t, okay? We know that. Yes, yes, he is. But in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this."
While telling the crowd at MoveOn’s "Won’t Back Down Tour" about how "corrupt" the Supreme Court has become, Crockett said, "listen, Donald Trump is a piece of sh*t, okay? We know that. Yes, yes, he is. But in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this, but he’s been able to get away with this because House Republicans are complicit. He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit."
"But most importantly, the courts, especially the Supreme Court, is complicit. And so I think one of the places that we have to start is we are absolutely—they are the, they are the highest court in the land, and they have no ethics guardrail," she continued. "Now, you go down to the lower courts, and they do. How much sense does that make?”
"Well, we know that they’re taking money. We have the paper trail, and they refuse to put guardrails on themselves. So it’s time for us to do it for them."
Crockett has repeatedly lashed out at Trump, saying in February that Trump is a "super villain" and "evil." She claimed in April that Trump is a bigger criminal than Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an MS-13 gang member deported to El Salvador. She said at the time that Garcia is "a lot less criminal than the person that’s sitting in the White House, because last time I checked, he doesn’t have any criminal convictions."
In late April, Crockett said that she would "absolutely" take a head-to-head IQ test against Trump after he called her "low-IQ." Trump has since continued to call Crockett "low-IQ," even saying that she should be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) being her running mate pick.
