New York authorities are actively looking for the suspects and are offering one thousand dollars for information leading to their arrest.

Early yesterday morning a Jewish man was beaten and robbed while he was on his way to a Brooklyn synagogue, in what’s described by New York’s Governor as a hate crime.

A video posted by Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol captured the whole ordeal. They reply to a commenter that it happened at New York Avenue and Avenue K, at 5:24 am.

“This pair viciously assaulted and robbed a local resident on his way to Shul this morning. His Tefillin were ultimately recovered by our volunteers.”

Within a matter of twenty seconds the victim is followed by the pair of assailants, physically beaten, and robbed before the duo jog away from the scene. The video closes by showing blood on the sidewalk.

Several hours later yesterday, the Flatbush Shomrim Twitter account posted a follow-up clip of additional camera footage.

If you have any info about the suspects, Flatbush Shomrim has a hotline at 718-338-9797 and they’re offering a $1,000 USD reward for information that will lead to arrests.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Saturday put out a statement condemning the anti-semitic attack and said the New York State Police Hate Crimes Task Force is on hand to offer assistance for the investigation.

"Anti-Semitic assaults went up 69 percent, to 113 incidents this year from 67 last year." a report from the New York Post said, published at the beginning of July.
