Podcaster Joe Rogan talked on his most recent podcast about how New York City's mayor Eric Adams plans to allow the city's residents who are not citizens to vote in local elections.

The plan would allow an additional 800,000 or so people who reside in one of the city's five boroughs to vote in local elections, as long as they have either a valid resdience permit for the US or a valid and active work visa.

"There's two things that are happening," Rogan mentioned, getting started on the subject.

"One, like in New York City, the mayor, I believe Eric Adams said that illegal immigrants should be allowed to vote."

"Which is fascinating, it's a fascinating thing to say," mused Rogan, delving further into the topic.

"Because, as soon as you say that, and then you're also letting people in, they know that the people allowing them to vote are in the Democratic party."

"So, you're basically allowing people to come in, [because] those are the people that are interested in allowing people to come in illegally; those are the people that don't fight it."

Rogan sums up with what he believes is the Democratic party's angle: "So, you're essentially saying 'well, we got ya in, so, you know who to vote for, 'cause we're the people that let you in."
