On Wednesday, Portland State University caved to the demands of anti-Israel activists who have sieged the school's library and shut down campus in support of Gaza. Many of those involved are Antifa-linked outside agitators and are not affiliated with the university.

President Cudd announced in an email that the university will not pursue criminal charges against those who participated in the destruction and seizure of the Millar Library, nor will students be suspended, expelled, or punished for their role in the occupation.

Additionally, Cudd vowed to personally support scholarships and creative works dedicated to Palestine, as well as PSU's ongoing financial commitment to anti-racist work. The president also insisted she would be giving a personal donation to the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia (MENASA) Student Center at PSU, which was a condition of the agreement.

This comes after PSU was forced to close campus due to the Antifa-linked occupation, which has seen violence including multiple assaults and sexual harassment. Portland-based independent videographer Brandon Farley was physically assaulted and maced by black block Antifa militants while covering the encampment on Monday.

While President Cudd said that around 50 students left the occupied library in the early morning hours of Wednesday, many more non-students remain inside the vandalized building, which has been turned into an autonomous zone similar to Seattle's CHAZ.

President Cudd wrote in the email: "I have an update to share regarding the protest at the Branford Price Millar Library and our shared wish for a peaceful resolution. Around midnight last night, negotiators for the PSU students occupying the library provided verbal assurance that they would sign a memorandum of agreement with me to vacate the library by 1:30 AM on May 1."

"In exchange, we offered to guarantee no expulsion, suspension or change to their status and that the university would not file criminal charges. In return, the students agreed to refrain from violating student codes of conduct as they continue to exercise their full rights to free speech on campus," said Cudd.

"In addition, I personally agreed to support faculty efforts to include scholarship and creative works related to Palestine in PSU's Race and Ethnic Studies Requirement, PSU's ongoing financial commitment to anti-racist work, a personal donation to the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia (MENASA) Student Center at Portland State. PSU and [I] will continue to fund anti-racist efforts," she continued.

"Finally, I agreed to meet with student leaders on May 17 in the afternoon about the remaining concerns of the protest to continue our dialogue," said Cudd. "Approximately 50 students left of their own accord and I thank them and other students who have worked to de-escalate the protest...It is our understanding that there are also a number of non-students who remain in the library as part of the protest."

In addition to Rose City Antifa's involvement in the occupied library, which has brought prominent members of the left-wing extremist group to campus, including Alissa Azar and John Hacker, it has been revealed that one of the main organizers leading the charge is a non-student adult male with a violent criminal history.

Journalist Andy Ngo, senior editor of Post Millennial, wrote on X: "I've investigated and found out the identity of one of the main accounts helping to organize the criminal Antifa and far-left siege at Portland State University for Gaza. Portland far-left extremist 'Quinn Diane Thereaux' is the alias for Shawn Thomas Biggers. He has an arrest history that includes being charged with felony assault."

Biggers is in his 40s and has a history of far-left activism in Portland dating back to decades.

Additionally, a man was assaulted by black block Antifa militants on Wednesday afternoon outside the occupied library after he expressed distaste for the encampment and called on the Hamas terror group to release the Oct. 7 hostages, video footage shows.

The "Gaza Liberation Zone," which is the occupied library, has been vandalized with Antifa and communist insignias, anti-police slogans, and phrases in support of the Hamas terror group.

The occupying militants have formed a barricade outside of the library made out of plywood, wooden pallets, umbrellas, trash cans, saran wrap, etc.

It's unclear how long those involved in the occupation plan to stay.
