Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has said that his office is looking for accountability after Kansas City's official X account doxxed the location of KC Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.

In a thread on Thursday following backlash against his speech at Benedictine College when Butker went after President Joe Biden, the official Kansas City X account posted the city that Butker lives in.

The account ended up deleting the post, saying that it was posted by accident.

"My office is demanding accountability after Kansas City doxxed Butker last night for daring to express his religious beliefs," Bailey wrote online. "I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion."

"We apologize for our previous tweet. It was shared in error," the Kansas City government account said.

After the speech made the rounds online, the NFL made a statement to condemn Butker's address. “Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity,” NFL spokesman Jonathan Beane said. “His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”

He addressed students at Benedictine College over the weekend.

"Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the Sign of The Cross during a pro-abortion rally," Butker said in the commencement speech. "He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I'm sure to many people it appears to many people you can be both Catholic and pro-choice."

"If we are going to be men and women for this time in history, we need to stop pretending that the 'Church of Nice' is a winning proposition. We must always speak and act in charity, but never mistake charity for cowardice," he said.  Butker added about those who are Catholic in general, “Make no mistake, before we even attempt to fix any of the issues plaguing society, we must first get our own house in order.”

This is a breaking story. Refresh for updates.
