On Saturday, approximately 100,000 people gathered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and call for an end to the Islamic regime. This comes amid widespread unrest in Iran as the people take to the streets in opposition to the authoritarian regime.

As they marched, the people chanted slogans such as "Regime change in Iran!", "Democracy in Iran!", and "Make Iran great again!" Some participants wore red MAGA-style hats emblazoned with the latter slogan.

"TRUMP ACT NOW" was another common demand, with several in the crowd carrying pictures of President Trump and calling on him to stand with the people of Iran and "keep his promise" of saying that "help is on the way." One held a sign calling on Trump to "give us a chance—we'll do the rest. We are Iranians. Together, we make the world better."

The march was a sea of Lion and Sun flags, widely considered the true flag of Iran. One participant declared that the Lion and Sun will soon fly across Iran once more, and people around him cheered in response and began chanting the name of Reza Pahlavi, the crowned prince and son of the former Shah.

A significant number of people also proudly waved Canadian flags. Numerous Israeli flags could be spotted as well. Among the allies were a large number of the Hong Kong community who also made their presence known.

Chants of "Death to Khamenei" could also be heard. In what has become a viral trend, people lit their cigarettes by burning photos of the Ayatollah.

There was widespread criticism of the mainstream media for for their absence, and for not covering what is happening in Iran. Several people thanked independent sources for being their voice. One person shouted "We should be protesting outside CBC!" The massive event remained peaceful, with no major incidents. One large group of protestors concluded the event by singing the unofficial anthem Ey Iran.
