As the verdict of the Kyle Rittenhouse case looms near, tensions continue to rise outside the Kenosha courthouse.

On Wednesday, police noticed a man with a rifle standing outside the Kenosha courthouse where Kyle Rittenhouse's trial is taking place, and took him aside for questioning. "Do you have a valid CCW?" one officer asks, to which the man replies, "No."

"You’re within 1,000 feet of the school, which you cannot be with a rifle without a CCW," the officer continued, "so if you want to be here, you’re going to have to put the rifle away."

The man cooperated with police, nodding along as they took him aside to see his ID. As they crossed the street, a crowd of photographers and curious bystanders followed.

"Sir, is that a bomb on your jacket?" a woman asked, to which another responded, "Shut the f*ck up."

"All the attention you didn't get in high school," the woman continued in a mocking tone, "now you got all the attention you want. Isn't that so cute!"

The man with the rifle joined police down a side street, and the crowd disbanded.

Also on Wednesday, a supporter of Rittenhouse was assaulted by a protestor outside the courthouse. Many are predicting that there will be clashes in Kenosha regardless of which way the jury votes.
