When asked Tuesday by The Post Millennial's Beth Baisch at the Democratic National Convention why Democrats should buy MyPillow, company founder and CEO Mike Lindell said because “everybody needs a good sleep.”

“You know what? Because they’ll get a good sleep and they need sleep too, like we all do. They're all people. Let me tell you, though, when you say that. Do you guys know, prior to 2016 I didn't know anything about politics,” Lindell responded, saying he was completely uninvolved in the process.

“I had never voted in my life. All I had was MyPillow and helping people. I did more ads at that time on MSNBC and CNN than Fox. Everybody bought MyPillow, and they still do. I can go to any city in the world: they come up to me, ‘Hey, I want your picture.’ You know, we sold 83 million MyPillows. Everybody needs a good sleep."

Lindell was moving through the crowds at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Tuesday when he stopped at a pro-Palestinian protest outside of the Israeli consulate. When asked if he supports Palestine in the current Gaza war, Lindell said that he supports Israel and Jesus Christ. He joked about possibly shaving off his mustache.

The MyPIllow CEO has been a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump while in office and during the last four years when he has tried to reclaim the presidency. Twitter "permanently banned" Lindell from its social media platform for “election misinformation” when he backed Trump’s fight against fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

Dominion Voting Systems also attacked Lindell over his stance on the election, threatening him with a lawsuit. Lindell donated 10,000 pillows to victims of a Kentucky tornado in December 2021. He founded the MyPillow company in 2004 in Chaska, Minn.
