The alleged shooter in Wednesday’s deadly attack at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis, identified as Robert "Robin" Westman, appears to have posted a chilling video on YouTube before the massacre that makes several pop culture references as well as references to other shooters. In the footage, Westman can be seen displaying multiple firearms and ammunition magazines, as well as a target board with an image of Jesus Christ taped to it.

“This message brought to you by Blackrock and Exxon Mobil, sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon," Westman says off the top in the video, which has been circulating online. Police have confirmed that at least two children were killed and 17 others injured, including 14 minors, after the gunman opened fire at the Catholic school during morning mass.

Westman’s weapons were covered with handwritten messages, taunts, extremist references, and tributes to past mass shooters. Messages on Weapons and Magazines included:

KAYNBRED, A reference to Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza’s online username;

“I’m the Woker, baby, why so queerious?” — a play on the Joker’s line "why so serious?"

"Я террорист” (“I am a terrorist”) — in Cyrillic;

“Я комбин” (“I am combine”) — Likely miswritten, to reference Columbine;

“Where is your God now?” — a biblical taunt found in Psalms 42 and 115.

The guns also showed a list of mass shooters’ names:

Pekka-Eric Auvinen (Finland, 2007): Carried out the Jokela school shooting in Finland, killing eight people before taking his own life.

James Holmes (Aurora theater, 2012): Opened fire during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado, killing 12 and injuring 70.

Vladislav Roslyakov (Kerch, 2018): Attacked Kerch Polytechnic College in Crimea with guns and explosives, killing 20 people and wounding dozens.

Charles Whitman (Texas Tower, 1966): The former Marine climbed the University of Texas clock tower and killed 15 people in one of the first high-profile US mass shootings.

Marc Lépine (Montreal, 1989): Entered École Polytechnique with a rifle, separated men from women, and killed 14 women in what he called an anti-feminist attack.

Anders Breivik (Norway, 2011): Carried out coordinated attacks in Oslo and on the island of Utøya, killing 77 people—most of them teenagers at a youth camp—in the deadliest mass shooting in modern European history.

Robert Bowers (Pittsburgh, 2018): Opened fire inside the Tree of Life synagogue, killing 11 worshippers in what became the deadliest antisemitic attack in US history.

Brenton Tarrant (Christchurch, New Zealand, 2019): Live-streamed his attack on two mosques, killing 51 people and wounding dozens more while citing white supremacist ideology.

Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow (Madison, Wisconsin, 2024): Two people were killed and six were injured when Rupnow opened fire at the Abundant Life Christian School.

Ted Kaczynski (“Unabomber”): Carried out a nationwide mail bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995, killing three and injuring 23, while spreading a manifesto denouncing modern technology and industrial society.
