Myocarditis found ONLY in Covid vaxxed kids: study

A study of over 1.7 million children has revealed that only children and adolescents given the Covid-19 shot were those who developed inflammation in their hearts. The observational study looked at adolescents aged 12–15 years and children aged 5–11 years old.

The study looked at the effectiveness and safety of the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 Covid-19 vaccine in groups of healthy children in England and tested the "effectiveness and safety of: (1) the first vaccine dose versus no vaccination and (2) a second dose versus a single dose only."

When comparing the groups, they found that the vaccine had an "initial protective effect" that waned by 14 weeks after the dose and a lower rate of emergency room visits for Covid-19 than those who did not get the vaccine. However, it was rare in both groups to be admitted to the emergency room and there were no Covid-19-related deaths.

"In both children groups, COVID-19-related outcomes were too rare to allow [incidence rate ratios] to be estimated precisely. Across all analyses, there were no COVID-19-related deaths, and fewer than seven COVID-19-related critical care admissions," the study found.

What appeared concerning for some who looked at the study online was that "myocarditis and pericarditis were documented only in the vaccinated groups, with rates of 27 and 10 cases/million after the first and second doses, respectively."

"In 95,641 person-years of potential follow-up from 820,926 adolescents, there were 56,496 positive SARS-CoV-2 tests; 72 COVID-19 A&E (accident and emergency) attendances; 90 COVID-19 hospitalizations, of which three included admission to critical care; and no COVID-19 deaths.

The study found that there was a greater risk of getting pericarditis from the vaccine than the risk of Covid-19 hospitalization for those aged 5-11. "The reduction in risk of COVID-19 hospitalization in children (−0.02 for first dose vs. unvaccinated) was lower than the increase in risk of pericarditis (0.22)," the study said.
