Mysterious footage that was released as part of a UFO files dump on Friday included what appeared to be something like an "eight-pointed star" erratically moving in the sky before it accelerated out of the frame.

The clip, shot in infrared and submitted to the government by Central Command, showed the strange object flying around in 2013, according to the trove of UFO files released on Friday. The footage was shot from an "infrared sensor aboard a US military platform," according to the files.

“This video depicts an area of contrast resembling an eight-pointed star with arms of alternating length,” a description from the War Department website said about the object.

The star shape, as well as a few other pieces of footage, drew a large reaction on X as some said that the movements from the star object and others did not appear to be acting in line with physics.

"The Pentagon just dropped a declassified clip showing a 'star-shaped' UAP performing maneuvers that defy known physics. Military sensors tracked the object doing high-speed criss-cross patterns over restricted airspace," one user said.

Another user said, "The UFO Files include video of a star-shaped craft moving unpredictably from side to side in a manner inconsistent with any known human-built aircraft."

Another video that caught people's attention was what appeared to be a luminous orb that appeared to be weaving between wind turbines that was caught on camera.

"Definitely not human-made, no propulsion. Looks like a bright orb," one X user said.
