NBC ruthlessly mocked over report on black people needing 'safe spaces' at national parks

Many conservatives chalked it up to typical race-baiting tactics often seen by leftist outlets.

Social media users ripped into NBC on Wednesday after the network released a report claiming that black people need a "safe space" in order to be able to enjoy the great outdoors, like hiking and camping

In the NBC article titled "Meet the black outdoorsy groups reclaiming nature," author Char Adams discusses how black people need "safe spaces to go camping and just experience the outdoors" due to past racial discrimination during the Jim Crow era which prohibited black people from entering national parks.

Adams went on to explain that it's critical for black people to have these safe spaces in order to escape "trauma" and "harassment" from white people, which was reportedly heightened in 2020 with the presence of "Trump flags" flying at campgrounds. For this, NBC was ruthlessly mocked on Twitter by social media users, Fox News reports.

Conservatives spared no time at all to criticize the report, chalking it up to typical race-baiting tactics often seen by left-leaning media outlets.

"It takes a special breed of stupid to be traumatized by being outdoors. And It takes an even specialer [sic] breed of stupid to make something racist out of it. So just imagine the breed of stupid it takes to write an article about it," one user wrote.

"I'm so tired of liberal blacks," another wrote. "There's acknowledging that black people have disadvantages and then there's ridiculous shit like this that make us look delusional."

"Does a week go by without an article from a once reputable news organization suggesting minorities live in an endless M. Night Shyamalan movie where our entire lives are spent hiding from this or that?" NewsNation reporter Zaid Jilani wrote.

"The combination of upper-class left-wing neuroticism and fake race/gender grievance is truly unbearable- it brings us headlines like "It's Summer: Is It All Right to Leave the House?" Wilfred Reilly wrote, a political science professor at Kentucky State University.

The attempt made by Democrat activists and left-leaning media outlets to paint a narrative that Black people are unable to enjoy the wilderness due to modern-day "discrimination" has increased over the past few years.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson famously mocked people from the US National Park Service after ABC put out a segment saying that an "existential crisis" lies within the parks because of the "persistent whiteness."
