The Department of Defense on Thursday has announced the appointment of Richard Torres-Estrada as Chief of Diversity and Inclusion of the USSOCOM, a man who compared Trump to Hitler on social media.

As the head of Diversity and Inclusion at the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which, among other things, is in charge of counterterrorism and other unconventional and/or covert ops for the military in general.

According to the Daily Caller, on June 2, 2020, Torres-Estrada published a photo of Hitler holding a copy of a book (presumably doctored to make it look like he is holding a Bible), next to a photo of Trump holding up a Bible outside of St. John's Church in DC:

"Ahi les dejo esto y me retiro lentamente (para seguir trabajando desde la casa)" says Torres-Estrada in Spanish. This is a line from The Simpsons, which reads in English: "I'm just gonna leave these here and back up slowly (to keep on working from home)..."

The USSOCOM unit itself is a new thing for the Pentagon, as top officials are supposedly trying to make the US military more diverse.

"So, this is the guy who now oversees hiring for the SEALs," commented Fox News's Tucker Carlson on hearing the news. "The Pentagon is now the Yale faculty lounge, but with cruise missiles. That should concern you," Carlson continued.
