In the United States Hispanics registered to vote favored Trump 46 to 40 percent, according to the poll.
According to the new poll from the New York Times and Siena, the former president as well as Republican candidate Nikki Haley would beat Biden if either were matched up against the incumbent president.
The poll also revealed that the Hispanic respondents who voted previously in the 2020 election favored Biden over Trump by 11 points.
Of the Hispanic voters in the poll, more considered themselves to be a Democrat than Republicans, however the largest block of Hispanic voters were registered as Independents.
According to the poll, Biden is also struggling to gain levels of support from black voters he had in the last presidential election as well. Of those black respondents who took the survey, only 4 percent of them said they voted for Trump last time in comparison to Biden’s 67 points.
When registered black voters were asked about who they would vote for if the election were held today, 23 percent went with Trump.
In the overall poll, Trump led Biden in the race for 2024 with 48 to 43 percent of all voters with a margin of error at 3.5 points.
