BREAKING: Governor Cuomo to receive special Emmy award for his ‘leadership’ during COVID-19 crisis

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo will receive an international Emmy award, 'in recognition of his leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world,'" the International Emmy's announced.

This after Cuomo had freaked out at a reporter for asking a question about the incredibly confusing school closure rules in New York.

The President of the International Academy, Bruce Paisner, released a statement"

"The Governor’s 111 daily briefings worked so well because he effectively created television shows, with characters, plot lines, and stories of success and failure," said International Academy President & CEO, Bruce L. Paisner.

"People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York Tough became a symbol of the determination to fight back."

Responses to the above tweets were overwhelmingly negative, with harsh criticism aimed at Cuomo. Cuomo has been widely blamed for the massive number of Covid deaths in nursing homes.

Others noted that Cuomo's briefings had turned into freaking out at reporters.

"He literally screamed at a reporter for questioning his vague, seemingly contradictory guidance on school closures. Not like raised his voice. He actually screamed. At a reporter. Because of his own problems. They just give out awards for anything these days."

"Cuomo gets an Emmy for talking about his mom's pasta sauce with his brother on TV, instead of fielding questions from reporters about why he cut Medicaid funding during the pandemic?"

"Around the world? WTF? No one outside of the US listens to him and 99% outside of the US don't know who he is."

During the pandemic, Cuomo would often team up with his brother Chris Cuomo, who is an anchor on CNN, and they would joke about things like giant Q-tips.
