China mandates COVID-19 pandemic anal swab test for all international travelers

According to The Times in the UK, China has decided to make mandatory anal swab tests that check for COVID. A ruling aimed at all international arrivals into the country. At least one Beijing doctor justifies the technique as more effective, claiming that the virus remains detectable in human feces longer than the respiratory system.

It’s a complete turnaround from the controversy surrounding this topic last week. The Chinese government claimed that these COVID anal swab tests were given to U.S. diplomats by mistake.

But prior to this announcement, the butt approach had been in widespread use.

It was just yesterday that Japan publicly requested China halt the anal tests, on grounds of mental stress. “Some Japanese reported to our embassy in China that they received anal swab tests, which caused a great psychological pain,” chief cabinet secretary Katsuobu Kato told a news conference.

To which Chinese spokesperson Wang Wenbin replied that their country’s methods were “science-based.” To that end, the anal maneuver is being implemented at airports in Beijing and Shenghai.

Despite this decision, China officials are ready to re-normalize international travel with the USA.
