How far is Trudeau’s AG willing to go to shut his eyes to the glaring evidence?

Gee, doesn't that sound awfully Trumpy?
Then, the AG digs a further hole for himself and his party during the video.
He notes that he has not actually spoken with Jody Wilson-Raybould regarding this topic, making it extremely difficult to believe that the AG knows anything about the case at all. Especially since many Liberal insiders believe the person who gave this story to the Globe and Mail was Jody Wilson herself.

With so little action taken, I would not be surprised, if some thought the AG was ignoring the glaring evidence on purpose. After all, he seems to be bending over backwards to try to explain why an investigation is unnecessary.
During the video, for example, CTV commentator Evan Solomon reads from the letter published by Jody Wilson-Raybould when she was demoted to veterans affairs.
That letter interestingly notes:
The role of the Attorney General of Canada carries with it unique responsibilities to uphold the rule of law and the administration of justice, and as such demands a measure of principled independence.
It is a pillar of our democracy that our system of justice be free from even the perception of political interference and uphold the highest levels of public confidence.
As such, it has always been my view that the Attorney General of Canada must be non-partisan, more transparent in the principles that are the basis of decisions, and, in this respect, always willing to speak truth to power. This is how I served throughout my tenure in that role. Jody Wilson-Raybould
The key part that truly matters there is the need for a non-partisan AG going forward.
At this moment, the Trudeau government have not allowed Jody Wilson-Raybould to speak by waiving the right to attorney-client privilege.
They have furthermore said they will block investigations into the matter.
Both of those moves are extremely worrying, and likely highlight why the former AG published that very letter.
Sadly, it seems the current AG has no goals of following through with JWR's advice.
That should truly worry you, according to Michael Bryant, the executive director and general counsel for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association this could be a constitutional crisis or even a crime.
