MSNBC’s Joy Reid accuses Ron DeSantis of ‘child abuse’ after black kids hold up anti-CRT signs

In a tweet Friday night, Reid used phrases such as "anti-Black" and "extra sick" to describe the sentiment she felt while reacting to an evening tweet from Florida state Sen. Shevrin Jones, who tweeted earlier: "The fact that @GovRonDeSantis had these Black young men, who are not clear on this message, holding up a sign about something they know nothing about is the real indoctrination."

"This mis-use of Black boys is tantamount to child abuse," Reid tweeted.

"I would really like to hear the back-story on who these kids were and how they wound up at a DeSantis event. Given how anti-Black DeSantis is, using Black children this way is extra sick," Reid quote tweeted in response to Jones.

Reid suggested that the only reason any black child would be at an event for the Republican governor was that they were not told why they were really there.

Critics of critical race theory point out that even anti-racist activists promoting the divisive teachings have admitted that the theory is "grounded in Marxism."

Proponents of the theory also claim that it is only studied at the post-secondary level. However, it has been revealed that this is not always the case, as it has been used as the basis for curricula in public schools across the nation and the world.

According to The Miami Herald, the black children were featured on a stage of supporters at a signing cermony where DeSantis signed House Bill 7, titled "Individual Freedom" and known as the "Stop Woke Act," plus two other bills at Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School in Hialeah Gardens.
