LeBron James fined $15,000 for making ‘obscene gesture’ on court, scolded for using ‘profane language’

Below is the video which shows the moment the NBA objected to:

In the video, James, who seems to have a habit of making the news continually, makes the offending move after a three-pointer. Wednesday's incident happened with 1 minute and 17 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the Lakers game against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

"James has been fined $15,000 for making an obscene gesture on the playing court and warned for using profane language during media availability in response to league imposed discipline," said the NBA in an official statement Friday.

The league's warning appears to refer to remarks James made to ESPN while he was responding to the news that he had been suspended for a game for striking a player in the face. "I mean, it’s some bullsh*t, but whatever," James told the outlet.

"The hit led to a stoppage in action while Stewart, with blood streaming down his face, had to be held back multiple times by Detroit personnel as he tried to confront James," ESPN reported at the time.

James was ejected after "striking Detroit big man Isaiah Stewart in the face while jostling for rebounding position," ESPN reported. Stewart was whistled for a loose ball foul on the play. Following an official review, James was assessed "a flagrant foul 2 and ejected, Stewart was assessed two technical fouls and ejected."

James has also recently been challenged by NBA superstar Enes Kanter, calling on him to witness the slave labor camps in China's Xinjiang region.
