BREAKING: McCloskey couple enter into plea deal, pay fines, give up guns
The viral McCloskey couple, famous for waving guns at protestors outside their St. Louis area home in 2020, have agreed to pay fines and destroy their firearms in a plea agreement on Thursday.
The viral McCloskey couple, famous for waving guns at protestors who trespassed on their St. Louis area home in 2020, have agreed to pay fines and forfeit their firearms in a plea agreement on Thursday.
Mark McCloskey will pay $750 and plead guilty to fourth-degree assault. His wife, Patricia, will pay $2000 and plead guilty to second-degree harassment. Neither will serve any jail time.
The pair came out armed with firearms to deter a mob of protestors who had already broken down the iron gate to their property and were trespassing at the time of the incident.
The McCloskeys have since gone viral, and earned the support of many Americans. They were invited to stream in over video and speak during the last Republican National Convention. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) has also said that he plans to issue them pardons.
