Michael Reinoehl reportedly pulled gun on officers before they fired on him
The US Marshal task force that took out Michael Reinoehl Thursday had been waiting for him throughout the day before he pulled an assault rifle on officials leading up to the shooting.
It has been reported that the US Marshal task force that took out Michael Reinoehl Thursday had been waiting for him throughout the day before he pulled a handgun on officials leading up to the shooting.
The Thurston County Sheriff revealed that Reinhoehl was brandishing a handgun.
Reinoehl was accused of executing a pro-Trump supporter in the streets of Portland on Aug. 29 before fleeing to Washington state. A federal fugitive task force assigned to find Reinoehl located him outside Olympia.
Reinoehl was allegedly leaving an apartment complex with a firearm before entering his vehicle on Thursday. The shooting occurred in the 7600 block of 3rd. Way Southeast in Tanglewilde around 7 p.m.
The suspect reportedly exited his vehicle and fired what was believed to be an assault rifle but later revealed to be a handgun at an unmarked SUV. Bystanders reported hearing 40 or 50 shots before officers returned fire, fatally striking Reinoehl.
Reinoehl's sister, April Reinoehl, went on the record Friday to say that her brother's death is "not bad news," fearing that he would become a martyr among those involved with Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
