Michael Reinoehl's sister, April Reinoehl, spoke out about her brother's death in an audio clip released by the Daily Mail Friday morning, where she said that it's "not bad news" he is dead.

Renoehl began by saying that "I knew he left the state," confirming the report that her brother had fled Portland for Lacey, Washington. She went on to say that she wouldn't "say at this point that this counts as bad news," adding that it is just "more news."

She thanked the person on the other end of the line for calling to let her knew, adding that she would rather have known than be left in the dark as to what happened to her brother.

She continued by saying that she was surprised that it was the police who shot him as opposed to those who might have been looking for him after he fatally shot a pro-Trump supporter in the streets of Portland. She said that she was contacted by someone who was looking to "fulfill a contract" regarding her brother's life.

She concluded the short conversation by suggesting that her brother would be turned into a martyr from the groups he was involved in, including Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
