Multiple attacks follow after Portland Antifa call for comrades to riot against Thanksgiving

Antifa on Telegram and social media first announced the call-to-action earlier in the week to protest “white people celebrat[ing] the genocide of our ancestors.” Do-it-yourself tips were posted on identifying a clear target, scouting areas for attack and assessing risk.

The Thanksgiving morning vandalisms occurred in at least two known sites in Portland and follow numerous weekly “smash and go” style riots since the election that have resulted in few arrests or leads.

Around 1:22 a.m. on Nov. 26, Portland Police responded to southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, a hipster district in Portland filled with locally-owned businesses, after receiving 911 calls that people in black bloc were smashing out windows on buildings.

Chase and Wells Fargo banks were among the hardest hit with multiple glass windows and doors completely destroyed. Other businesses on the street were defaced with far-left graffiti messages. The masked rioters wrote, “F— Thanksgiving,” “Stop celebrating genocide,” “F— your American Flag,” among other political statements, on store fronts and business property.

Organic and politically progressive grocery store New Seasons Market was severely damaged even though it has numerous large signs and messages in support of Black Lives Matter. On one of the buildings, someone spray-painted: “You don’t give [a f—] about black ppl.”

Portland Police were able to arrest three adults and one unnamed juvenile, though based on witness statements, many more were seen involved.

The three adult suspects were arrested and each charged with 10 felony counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

Bailey Willock, 23, was bailed out quickly. On Twitter, she retweets Antifa accounts and her profile banner reads, “The only cocktail we serve to pigs are f—ng Molotov.”

Nicole Noriega, 38, and Chester Hester, 24, were both quickly released without having to pay a bond.

Police also nabbed an individual in possession of a semi-automatic pistol. That person has been referred to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office for potential weapons charges. Portland Police told The Post Millennial in an email that the individual is unnamed because they have not been arrested or charged.

In addition to the mass vandalism against businesses, an unknown number of suspected far-left rioters simultaneously toppled a statue and defaced a monument to dead war veterans in the Lone Fir Cemetery in southeast Portland. No arrests were made. The vandals wrote “F— USA” and drew anarchist symbols on the defaced monument.

There have now been at least three antifa-related attacks in Portland this week. On Tuesday night, Antifa defaced Ulysses S. Grant High School with graffiti messages and a large banner. “Stop honoring Nazi colonizers” they wrote on the school named after the general and former U.S. president who led the Union Army in the Civil War. No arrests were made that night.
