New York parents DEMAND Eric Adams drop toddler mask mandate

An angry group of more than 200 NYC parents of schoolchildren insisted on an in-person meeting with NYC mayor Eric Adams on the issue of the city's infamous mask mandates for children under five years old.
Many people are baffled by the attitude and actions of Adams, who recently extended the order for children from two through four years of age to be masked in schools and daycare centers.

View on RumbleAccording to the Daily Mail, "the parents want to sit down with the mayor and so his team can explain their stance while allowing all other students to go mask-free," and "Adams claimed he is willing to remove the mandate when the 'it is safe' despite studies showing that young children are not at a serious risk to COVID-19."
The irate parents have also complained about the fact that his office has repeatedly ignored their phone calls and emails on the subject, despite the fact that he has been seen often in recent days in public participating in photo-ops with various other public figures.

"We write this letter because our hundreds of phone calls and emails, and our direct requests for meetings, have gone unanswered," the parents wrote.
"We are now publicly requesting a meeting, by May 17, with both Mayor Eric Adams and Commissioner Ashwin Vasan to discuss NYC's Toddler Mask Mandate."
Parents had won a victory in New York for the removal of the mandate, but Adams got it overturned and forced children back into masking at schools.
At the beginning of March, the NYC mayor had lifted the restrictive mask mandate for all residents except the city's youngest population ages two to four. It was a decision that outraged parents of young daycare-aged children and pre-K students.

In response to the court's decision, Adams said later Friday the city would appeal and seek a stay of Porzio's ruling, according to NBC New York.
Health Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan said at the time that city leadership was not recommending that two-year-olds to four-year-olds stop masking yet.
