Democrat Ron Kim came out publicly to say that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo threatened him in front of his wife and kids.
On Monday, Kim escalated his calls for accountability from the governor, with bi-partisan support showing up on the matter.

"I witnessed a crime, and on top of that, 15,000 nursing home residents died under his watch. Restoring faith in government for those families is my top and only priority, not the governor's PR image," Ron Kim wrote in his piece.
In January, NY Attorney General Letitia James announced COVID nursing home data was undercounted as much as fifty percent.
Ron Kim points to Cuomo adding a “toxic corporate immunity clause” for the 2020 budget as key evidence. He alleged that this was a favor on behalf of a campaign donor, the Greater New York Hospital Association.
The controversial March 25th executive order signed by Andrew Cuomo last year mandated that nursing homes accept roughly 9000 COVID patients. While overturned two months later, It remained in the back burner of the public ire because of the election. But the issue was reignited earlier this month when Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa told the New York Post that Cuomo’s administration intentionally covered up the nursing home death toll statistics. They feared the numbers would be used against them by Federal authorities.
