Conservative leader Erin O'Toole criticized Canada's most influential environmentalist, David Suzuki, over his comments that warned of pipelines being blown up.
Speaking to CHEK News on Saturday, Suzuki said that "there are going to be pipelines blowing up if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on."

"I saw the power of civil disobedience," said Suzuki. "People in Extinction Rebellion are saying we’re headed in a direction of extinction and we’re rebelling against it. That’s why I’m here."
In a post across his social media, O'Toole said that the comments were "dangerous and undemocratic."
"This type of rhetoric is dangerous and undemocratic," said O'Toole. "It implies that energy workers and infrastructure should be targets for acts of terrorism. All political leaders should unreservedly condemn this statement."
As of the time of publishing, no other party leaders have condemned the comments.
