The family of the 24-year-old man who took his own life, after he was arrested in an Ontario BONTEA parking lot for allegedly obstructing a police officer, believe his tragic actions were motived by the "shame brought on his family," the Toronto Sun reports.
A viral video showed Moses Demian of Scarborough, ON, being handcuffed after a brief interaction with police in which Demian allegedly swore at officers.
In the viral video, the officer can be heard telling Demian that he had told him to "go f–ck himself" after asking for ID, to which Demian responds "No, I didn't!"

Marina said Moses had called them the name under a breath, an act he was upset with himself for. Marina added that her brother "sometimes said things he later regretted … he has bad anxiety, has suffered from depression and was on medication."
Moses, who had recently graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, made the decision to take his like "for the family," his sister said.
Police conducted the arrest under the Reopening Ontario act, with police saying that their "Service, along with the Toronto Police Association, is offering support to the family, several of whom are members of the TPS."
