Provincial police responded to the group of five people who were gathered at the beach late Wednesday evening, according to CTV News.
When officers arrived, they found that it was the same group of renters who had been warned after a complaint the night before.
The initial warning was given by Lambton Shores OPP to the individuals about the emergency protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
They were not given a second warning.
A 27-year-old Kitchener man was charged with not complying with an order during a declared emergency.
Police say that they will keep educating the public on what is and is not allowed, and considers enforcement a last resort.
Under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, failure to uphold the emergency protocols could mean fines for an individual that ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, or up to a year in prison.
