Texas man offers 100 acres of his own land for Elon Musk to build new Twitter HQ
Jim Schwertner, CEO of Schwertner Farms just north of Austin, has offered up to 100 acres of land to donate to magnate Elon Musk, in order to move the Twitter company’s headquarters to Texas.
The land is precisely located just off of Interstate 35, some 35 or so north of the city of Austin, in an area where many other tech companies have been moving in past years, including Musk's own Tesla company, as well as his other enterprises, SpaceX and the Boring Company.

On Tuesday, Schwerner tweeted, "Elon Musk, Move Twitter to Schwertner, TX. 38 Miles North of Austin in Williamson County, and we will give you 100 Acres for FREE"
He continued, "I mean, this area is exploding and we want to be part of this explosive growth," mentioning that he thought the presence of a Musk-owned Twitter would be "a win-win for everybody."
"I just think with all the stuff he's done, he evidently likes Texas, right or he wouldn’t have moved from California. And I want to be part of his plan if he'll come visit with us."
In a sense, Twitter employees would hardly be affected by the move. This is because they are currently allowed to work from home as much as they want and wherever they want.
"We’ve always been entrepreneurs in our family and we’ve always tried to help the communities," Schwertner continued. "And I think my offer is a serious gesture to help the citizens around Williamson County."
