Violent far-left in Portland launch new ‘Antifa Soccer League’

On Wednesday night, around 50 Antifa in black bloc gathered at a park in southwest Portland to compete in an “inaugural” competition that was followed-up with a riot targeting local businesses.

Teams that faced off against once another in the self-described “Anti-Fascist Soccer League” included the Long Legged Socialists and Demand Dystopia. The large unpermitted COVID-era gathering included “cheerleaders'' dressed in black bloc who chanted slogans associated with their riots.

A group of street guards kept watch around the field’s perimeter to protect their comrades.

The Antifa soccer league in Portland was established following a similar recent move in Seattle. In December, groups of Antifa gathered to play soccer at Cal Anderson Park, the site of the former Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) and its second homeless camp iteration that was recently dismantled. On Dec. 20, seven people were arrested at a Seattle Antifa soccer game following assaults on police officers.

While the Portland Antifa soccer league can be seen as tongue-in-cheek, its participants have used the games as a recruitment drive and a way to spread violent extremist propaganda. A featured table at Wednesday’s competition distributed booklets and pamphlets arguing for violence against property and the state.

Additionally, hundreds of stickers were handed out showing an illustration of The Post Millennial’s editor-at-large Andy Ngo bloodied with the text, “DROP KICK ANDY NGO.”

The radical stickers were designed by Marisol Nora Beck, a Portland digital artist and Etsy shop owner who operates under the moniker “Antifa Sticker Bitch.” The 25-year-old nonbinary Antifa member quit their job at San Diego-based quantum technology company Qubitekk and moved to Portland in March 2020. They was previously a student at Harvey Mudd College, a private liberal arts college in Claremont, Cal.

“I'm an unemployed non-binary person whose new full-time job is protesting for black lives in pdx [Portland],” tweeted Beck in July at the height of nightly Antifa riots in Portland. Beck’s Twitter banner profile reads, “We don’t want Biden — We want Revenge.” The same banner was paraded at an antifa riot in downtown Portland in early November where a church and businesses were vandalized.

Beck has gained a local following for creating Antifa propaganda art. In November, they released a riot sticker series showing an injured Ngo with the text, “F— ANDY NGO.”

Beck was recently locked out of their Twitter account for posting Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell’s home address.

After the soccer game on Wednesday night, Antifa rioted in downtown by smashing windows and spray painting property. Buildings targeted for vandalism included a museum, the central police station and numerous businesses. Portland Police made no arrests.

The following night, Antifa rioted again in downtown for new year’s eve. They threw Molotov cocktails, started street fires and ransacked businesses.
