View on XA reporter asked Psaki "Do you anticipate President Biden to address the GameStop controversy when he meets with his economic team later this morning?"
Psaki answered "No. Do you anticipate him addressing it publicly you mean?"
"Just talking about it with his economic team," the reporter said.
"Well, the focus of the meeting is about the recovery plan and the status of the economic recovery," Psaki said, "about obviously the data we saw yesterday, but I'm sure they'll cover a range of topics at that meeting. But that's not the focus."
"It's a big story," the reporter said.
"I know it's a big story," Psaki replied, "but our focus and our big story is getting the American people back to work."

View on XOne Twitter account summarized their thoughts about Psaki's handling of the question surmising that it was akin to the reporter saying, "Apologies if you answered this already."
And positing that Psaki's reply was along the lines of: "It is a big story, I know people want answers and we won’t answer it. Now lick my pale ginger feet and don't ask me this again"
Critics remain angry and disturbed over what has started to be called a "Wall Street double standard" by the media, as independent investors are accused of "destabilizing" and "manipulating" the market for engaging in the same tactics big investors and the hedge funds they manage routinely engage in.
