WATCH: Psaki says deaths of 13 US service members ‘doesn’t take the place of all the progress’ made in Afghanistan

A reporter noted that on Aug. 10, President Joe Biden expressed that he didn't regret withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan. The reporter pressed, asking if Biden still doesn't "regret the manner in which this withdrawal was conducted."

"Well, first I would say that the men and women who gave their lives, and the president attended, as you noted yesterday, to honor their service, honor their sacrifice, and had time to meet a number of the family members yesterday," Psaki responded. "That doesn't take the place of all the progress, all of the work that has been done to evacuate people," concluded Psaki.

Biden was present Sunday at the Dover Air Force Base reception of the fallen US service members killed in Afghanistan. However, he was lambasted for appearing to check his watch during the dignified transfer ceremony.

Many vocal critics, including close family members of the 13 fallen US military personnel, strongly disagree with the Biden administration. Some of them have come out publicly to declare that their loved ones have died in vain, and lay the blame squarely at the feet of the Biden administration.

Kathy McCollum, the grieving mother of slain Marine Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum, told SiriusXM Patriot radio on Saturday in a viral soundbite: "That feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die."

She told Democrats who voted for Biden: "You just killed my son with a dementia-ridden piece of crap who doesn't even know he's in the White House."

The family slammed Biden's brief meeting with Rylee's pregnant widow as scripted, shallow, and a "total disregard to the loss" of the killed Marine.
