View on YouTubeSurrey RCMP spokesperson told Global news that the group was made up of 10 to 15 people, and had a "very hostile and oppositional reaction" to police being there.
“While he’s trying to arrest that young man for the assault, the child is being held onto by other youth that were there,” said Cpl. Elenore Sturko told Global News.
“Another [officer] comes to his assistance to help him make that arrest, and that officer—a female officer—was then punched in the head several times by some of the people in the crowd.”
No charges have been laid yet.
