The WE organization paid Justin Trudeau's brother nearly $70 thousand in a span of a few short months.
From September 2017 to February 2018, the WE charity coughed up $67,000 in talent fees for the prime minister's brother, according to Blacklock's Reporter.
As a whole, Justin Trudeau's family was paid $481,751 by WE–sparking an ethics investigation after Trudeau failed to recuse himself from a cabinet discussion regarding WE.
Trudeau's brother, Alexandre, was paid $45 thousand in fees; $230 in gifts, and $22,025 in expenses. These payments did not go into much further detail.
Despite this large sum of money, the WE co-founders did not explain to the noble Canadian public why, exactly, Alexandre Trudeau (who is a rather dull speaker) deserved all this money.
As we all know by now, Alexandre was not the only Trudeau to have been paid by the WE organization. The prime minister's wife, Sophie, not only hosted a podcast for the "charity," but she also received $1,500 in speaking fees and free international trips.
The prime minister's mother, on the other hand, received a stonking $225,000 in speaking fees. Alexandre, it seems, was only booked when Margaret could not.
Current polls reportedly show that with Trudeau and the Liberals losing voter support, the idea of the next prime minister being a Conservative is not a mere flight of fancy.
“Trudeau’s personal job approval rating is at its lowest since it was discovered that he enjoyed dressing up in Blackface regularly,” pollster Nick Kouvalis reported.
The WE scandal has been a damaging one for the Trudeau government. Bill Morneau, who serves as the finance minister since 2015, has already been axed (let's not pretend otherwise), and more heads may still roll.
