Jaqueline Guzman, an actress based in New York City, has been fired from Face to Face films, her former employer, after a rant on TikTok where she criticized street closures due to a vigil which took place for fallen NYPD officer Jason Rivera.

"Face to Face Films has just been made aware of an insensitive video involving one of our members, Jacqueline Guzman," stated the company on their Facebook page.

Face to Face continued, showing solidarity for the NYPD and Rivera: "Face to Face Films does not support nor can condone these comments made about fallen Officer Rivera. As a result, she is no longer a member of our company."

Guzman's TikTok video has since been taken down, but she said in the video:

"We do not need to shut down most of Lower Manhattan because one cop died for probably doing his job incorrectly. They kill people who are under 22 every single day for no good reason and we don’t shut down the city for them,"

She then added, "Like this is f*cking ridiculous. This is f*cking ridiculous. What if somebody is having a heart attack in this area. Nobody can get to them because it’s all blocked off for one f*cking cop."

Rivera was shot and killed during what was supposed to be a normal domestic call in the Harlem area. The suspect was a violent criminal with a long history of arrests, and was out on probation at the time. It is suspected that the attack may have been a premeditated ambush.

Apart from Face to Face, Guzman's post drew the ire of many others, including Patrick Lynch, the President of the PBA, who commented, "New Yorkers turned out by the thousands yesterday to help us honor our fallen brother. One person spreading hate cannot erase that."

Lynch continued, "This kind of garbage has polluted the conversation for far too long. We need the New Yorkers who are standing with us to speak up and push back."
