Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows a man attacking a woman with a bag of feces on a subway platform. The incident took place at the East 241st Street subway station in the North Bronx on Feb. 21. The victim's face and hair were smeared with feces.

"WANTED for an ASSAULT," the NYPD wrote when releasing the video. "On 2/21/22 at 5:15 PM, inside of the E. 241 St subway station in the Bronx, the suspect approached a 43-year-old woman sitting on the bench & struck her in the face & the back of her head with human feces. "

The NYPD requests that those with information DM @NYPDTips, or call 800-577-TIPS

A motive has not yet been given for this attack, nor is it clear what preceded the attack. The suspect is still at large, and police are seeking the public's help in finding the suspect.

New York City subways have been a focal point for attacks similar to this, as of late, sometimes even having fatal consequences. New York City Mayor Eric Adams confessed that he is also afraid to ride the city's trains.
