The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) ran a segregated, week-long summer education program only for black students. The training included a day of gender ideology indoctrination.

Former high school teacher and social media activist Chanel Pfahl noted the program in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“The Ottawa Catholic board (OCSB) ran a summer program only black students could attend, and they spent at least a full day immersed in workshops on 'gender and racial identity.' In a month they get to go back to school to see their 'oppressor peers.' That should go well,” she wrote.

There was little information to be found on the Ottawa Catholic School Board website, with the exception of a Facebook post from July 28.

“Our #OCSB Summer Program for Black Students ends today after a week of workshops on financial literacy, gender and racial identity, mental health, yoga and more. The students also heard from an #ocsbgrad on navigating school as a Black student and attended a presentation at Carleton U!”

The reaction from parents was not as enthusiastic.

“Empowering Black students with a summer program is wonderful, brainwashing them with gender ideology is not. Shame on you so-called "catholic" school board. Be honest and call yourselves "OSB" because there's no Godliness left!” Elizabeth Anne Taylor posted.

The OSCB has gained a reputation for wokeness since St. Joseph’s Catholic High School expelled student John Alexander in November 2022 after he protested against biological males using female washrooms. He was arrested for trespassing when he attempted to return to the school.
