"If you want to be in DC and you’re a criminal, you’re not welcome," Pirro said.
"We’re at more than 400 arrests, over the weekend, 127. This past weekend, with our federal partners in this cooperative law enforcement effort, we seized 21 illegal guns. We’ve made arrests on warrants for homicide, sexual predators, drug trafficking, illegals. If you want to be in DC and you’re a criminal, you’re not welcome," Pirro said.
A White House official told the Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese on Monday morning that over 380 arrests have been made in 11 days, 59 firearms have been seized, and over 160 illegal immigrants have been arrested. Of those illegal immigrants taken into custody, some were known gang members and others had charges for assault, burglary, drug smuggling, and other charges.
Sunday night saw 22 multi-agency teams deployed throughout DC, with 1,950 participants.
The DC Police Union said that in the wake of Trump announcing the federalization of DC’s police department versus the seven days prior to that, robbery is down 46 percent, assault with a deadly weapon is down six percent, carjackings are down 83 percent, car thefts are down 21 percent, violent crime is down 22 percent, and property crime is down six percent. Overall, all crimes are down eight percent.
"While federal assistance gives us a boost, we must repeal the misguided Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Act in order to make these changes permanent."
