Krassenstein tried to shift the subject to Donald Trump asking Twitter to remove tweets.
In a recent episode of the PBD Podcast, host Patrick Bet-David became incredulous after journalist Ed Krassenstein said that the collusion and consequential censorship between Twitter and the FBI during the 2020 election is not a form of “cheating.”
The exchange commenced after co-host Vincent “Vinny” Oshana asked about his thoughts on Twitter and the FBI colluding to censor the New York Post’s coverage about Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell.
“We found out this year with [the Twitter files] that … I don't care how you spin it, this is cheating,” said Vinny. “That there was so much information on there about him, his father, the big guy, all these deals that the FBI in conjunction colluded with Twitter and all these social media places to stop that stories [sic] and suppress the story. Anybody that tweeted about it, anybody that spoke about it, you are taking off all these platforms. That is actively cheating to help one political party.”
Vinny added that exit polls revealed that 53 percent of Americans may have changed their vote had they been made aware of the Hunter Biden laptop.
“Let’s be men about this. That isn’t cheating for you? Is that cheating?” Vinny asked.
Ed responded that while he “disagreed” with Twitter’s actions, he “wouldn't say it's cheating because Twitter acted as a private company. Twitter did not act at the behest of the FBI.”
Bet-David jumped in soon after that.
“Are you joking right now?” Bet-David asked Ed.
“No, no, no I'm telling you what happened,” Ed shot back.
“I actually want to leave you to speak and I want to pay and I want to hear you out,” answered Bet-David. “Are you sincerely being serious about what you just said?”
Ed emphasized that while he doesn’t agree with Twitter’s decision to censor the bombshell story, he does not think “the FBI forced them to remove it.” He then said that former President Donald Trump has asked Twitter to remove tweets from its platform, and questioned if that would amount to election interference, much like many believe the Twitter and FBI collusion did.
Bet-David told Ed to “stay on this topic,” and attempted to clarify if he agreed that the censorship could have changed the results of the 2020 election.
“I don’t know if it would have changed the election, it may have though,” Ed replied.
Twitter infamously wiped the Hunter Biden laptop article from its platform shortly before the 2020 election and prohibited users from sharing it with others. An FEC disclosure revealed that the platform was having weekly meetings with the FBI at the time, with the federal agency warning the big tech company to be on the lookout for a supposed drop of “Russian disinformation.”Powered by The Post Millennial CMS™ Comments
