"Candace Owens and I have agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets are on hold until after this meeting."
"Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person discussion on Monday, December 15. @RealCandaceO and I have agreed that public discussions, livestreams, and tweets are on hold until after this meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation. Thank you," Kirk shared to X.
Owens has put out numerous videos in which she indicated or suggested that Tyler Robinson, who has been charged with the murder and is facing a trial in Utah, was not the one responsible for Kirk's death. She has expounded on many potential theories as to what drew Kirk to his untimely demise.
In one post, Owens said "I maintain that I believe Tyler Robinson WAS involved on 9/10— but I do not believe he pulled the trigger to kill Charlie, and I am therefore certain he could not have acted alone."
Some of these theories have suggested fault and blame for Kirk's killings lie in part with some people who work at Turning Point USA, the non-profit Kirk founded and ran until he was publicly executed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. His widow Erika was announced as the head of TPUSA and was voted into that position unanimously by the Board.
"I am very much looking forward to this discussion," Owens wrote in response to Kirk's tweet.
Owens and Charlie Kirk had worked together on Owens' Blexit non-profit and other projects and Owens had been a featured speaker at TPUSA events over the years. She later worked for The Daily Wire before leaving her position there and producing her own podcast.
The recent disputes between Owens and TPUSA have drawn in other pundits as well who have commented on the conflict and weighed in with their own perspectives of who is to blame for the vitriol.
