"I am not going to take a mandate. I am not going to be coerced into doing something I don't believe in," pilot Joshua Yoder said.

A commerical airline pilot joined Fox News' Tucker Carlson on Monday to discuss why he is against vaccine mandates after a video he posted to social media went viral.

"I believe in freedom," Joshua Yoder said, pilot and co-founder of US Freedom Flyers. "I'm here to support the freedom of my fellow employees and all people across this country."

"I am not going to take a mandate. I am not going to be coerced into doing something I don't believe in," Yoder continued after expressing his mandate resistance is primarily due to religious reasons.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked the pilot what the ultimate effect these mandates have on the travel industry, in which Yoder explained that even minor disruptions cause "catastrophic" effects.

"The transportation sector is the heart and soul of this country. It's a very delicate system. If there's a disruption in one part of the system, it has a catastrophic effect among the rest of the systems which is going to effect commerce, it's going to effect trade, and ultimately it's going to effect the economy," Yoder explained.

"If you have flights reduced by 30 percent because 30 percent of pilots are going to get fired because they won't take the vaccine, this is going to effect how goods get here from overseas, how they are distributed to the stores," Yoder said.

"The same thing is happening with the truckers, it's happening in the fishing industry. Those Amazon boxes that typically show up in two days, you might be looking at three weeks."

In response to thousands of cancelled flights from Southwest Airlines, which many speculated were due to their employees protesting the vaccine mandate, Tucker Carlson emphasized that it's evident the people have the power. Carlson went on to ask Yoder if people should expect to see more protests.

"First of all, we (the people) have all the control and the control comes from a simple word, and that's 'no,'" Yoder responded. "We just don't need to comply."

"As far as I'm concerned, I will never promote a sick-out or a work action, that is illegal. With that being said, we (US Freedom Flyers) cannot control the actions of individuals and I think you will see massive disruptions in supply chain and travel if we just stand up and say, 'no,'" Yoder continued. "If these companies fire us and they fire 30 percent of the work force, aircrafts are going to stop moving. It's going to affect you, air travel, and the economy."
