Many were quick to question why Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was not included in the poll.

According to a Morning Consult/Politico poll conducted at the conclusion of the Senate’s weeklong trial, 54 percent of Republican voters said they would support Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential primary.

Also on the list is Mike Pence (12%), Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. (6%), Nikki Haley (6%), Mitt Romney (4%), Ted Cruz (4%) and Marco Rubio (2%).

Many were quick to question why Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was not included in the poll.

There has been some speculation about DeSantis running for President after he was given praise for refusing to put the state of Florida into lockdown and slamming Joe Biden for 'political attacks' on Florida.

After last week's impeachment acquittal, Donald Trump is currently eligible to run again in the 2024 presidential election. If he was to secure a victory in 2024 he would be just the second president after Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms.
