Predatory men are invading women's and girls' private spaces — it has to stop

Men have colonized women's spaces and bodies and have culturally appropriated womanhood in service to their own kinks and perversions.

Women are no longer legally entitled to privacy or private spaces that are free from men. In the US and Canada, all it takes for a man to gain access to women's private spaces, such as changing rooms, bathrooms or locker rooms, is for that man to claim to be a woman.

There is no greater display of chauvinism and male privilege than men self-identifying as female, then claiming access to any and all rights women had previously had to themselves. These include women's only spaces, such as locker rooms, changing rooms, bathrooms, women's hospital wards, women's jails and prisons, women's only gyms, and the list goes on.

Women have run into this problem in countless places, only to be told by management or staff that the man's right to women's private spaces is paramount to any concern the women may have. There is no concern at all that those males who gain access to women's spaces under these pretenses may be predatory, as so many of them have been.

Once a man discloses that he is female, he is able to wander about in whatever stage of undress suits him, ogling those women who are attempting to use the spaces for their own needs. He may expose his penis to women, demanding that they believe it is a lady's penis.

He may gaze upon the naked bodies of little girls or women, demanding that they see this is a female gaze, and not what it is, that of a male.

In Saskatoon, Sask. over the weekend, Canadian parents expressed their frustration that a male person who claims to be female was allowed to access a women's only changing area while swim lessons for little girls were taking place. The male walked around nude, to the horror of parents, subjecting little girls to a naked male body.

"A male that identifies as female was in the female change room and walking around completely naked. No towel, no underwear," a parent said on Facebook.

The pool supervisor told the parent that the male was more than welcome because "anyone can use any changeroom based on what gender they identify with." In response, parents went out in -33 weather to demand that males not have access to little girls' changing rooms.

When pressed, Saskatchewan Premiere Scott Moe threw the responsibility back to the municipal level. "As the concerns involve operations of a municipal recreation facility, this would be most appropriately addressed by the municipality responsible," Moe said ludicrously.

In Los Angeles in 2021, at the WiSpa, a person with a male body entered the women's private spa area, where older women and young girls were changing and using the spa services. Older, Asian women were horrified, and sought to shield a child among them from the male.

That women were angered, felt threatened and upset about having a man in their space was a source of outrage to trans activists and advocates, and protests were staged and counter-staged outside the spa.

WiSpa, for their part, upheld the man's right to access women's private spaces based solely on his own, personal declaration that he was female.

An 80-year-old grandmother was banned from a YMCA pool in Port Townsend, Wash., after she complained about a trans-identified biological male occupying the women's changing room, where the individual was helping little girls undress as part of the duties that person was fulfililng as a camp counselor. The grandmother was horrified, but the YMCA staff, management, and much of the local community sided with the male-bodied person's right to access female only spaces simply upon vow that the male body is not an impediment to being female.

A man in British Columbia who wears his hair long and claims to be a woman was outraged when a woman's gym denied him entrance. While the gym felt they were within their rights to deny a male access to women's only spaces, the government in British Columbia sided with the male against the women and their right to sex-segregated spaces.

In service to the male idea that becoming female is simply an internal feeling and a declaration if intent, the entirety of society has bent over to accommodate every single wish and whim. They are not only permitted access to women's spaces, but to women's definitions. In several dictionaries, the word itself has been broadened to include men, making the word that once designated the female sex absolutely meaningless.

The medical industry, too, as fallen in line, pushing medical sex changes on children and teens all because a vocal group of men who grew up to present themselves as females wishes they'd had the chance to pharmaceutically, socially, and surgically alter their bodies prior to achieving the age of majority.

Men have colonized women's spaces and bodies and have culturally appropriated womanhood in service to their own kinks and perversions. And those who typically bandy about those words are silent about women's degredation at the hands of male erasure of their definitions, spaces, and autonomy.
