Project Veritas' latest report alleges that the Governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, plans to impose a statewide COVID vaccination mandate after re-election in order to appeal to independent and undecided voters, according to a campaign senior adviser.
"He (Governor Murphy) is going to do it, but he couldn't do it before the elections," Wendy Martinez said in response to whether or not Murphy will impose statewide mandates.
When pressed to clarify why Murphy is withholding his true intentions, the campaign senior adviser mocked medical freedom and said people are too vocal about having "rights" and stating his true stance could get in the way of his campaign.
"They're into all the sh*t. My rights, sh*t. And they don't care that they kill everybody," Martinez said.
The journalist with Project Veritas asked Martinez to confirm that Murphy plans to implement statewide mandates in which Martinez replied, "He will."
"But right now is about him winning," adding, "It will be fine."
Matthew Urquijo, a manager with New Jersey Forward, repeated similar allegations to those of Martinez. The group he works for, New Jersey Forward, is funded by the state's Democratic Party.
"The problem is right now is because it's election season, he's not going to have people say, like, we're going to have a mandate now," Urquijo said. "Cause you know...for some people...it's going to piss them off."
"I mean once you know we have a win, he's like 'alright...let's do the mandates,'" Urquijo added.
