Juliana Mazza of 7News Boston was reporting on the story of a dog thief when she encountered that very thief in a parking lot and took action.

According to Inside Edition, Titus, a 13-month old German shorthaired pointer, was allegedly stolen from his owner Greg Siesczkiewicz's parked car. The act was caught on security camera. The suspect, Kyle Gariepy was wearing the same clothes in the video when Mazza spotted him with Titus in the same parking lot.

"The first thing I did was I asked if I could pet the dog", Mazza said, "because I wanted to get down to the name tag to be able to confirm that the name matched the name of the missing dog."

She then began questioning Gariepy as to why he hadn't tried to contact the owner; he seemed confused, and tried frantically to justify his actions. On the spot, Mazza called 911 to report that she had found Titus, and two minutes later, cops were on the scene.

Gariepy was arrested and charged with "larceny, and breaking into a motor vehicle."

Titus was returned to Mr. Siesczkiewicz, who was overjoyed to be re-united with his best friend. Mazza stated that "never in [her] wildest dreams could [she] have imagined that [she'd] be the one to find the dog."
