A Freedom of Information Act request has revealed that the office of Loudon County Virginia had a convicted sex offender on their payroll.

The county revealed the man's status and position, but no further information was provided at the time.

According to local outlet Fox 5, Loudon County, which is already under multiple scandals involving their schools, "confirmed the man was hired as a paralegal but refused to confirm the date or length of employment, citing a Virginia code on personnel records."

It appears, however, that Fox 5 found out that the man had been hired and then fired days later. The man agreed to be identified only as John, as he is trying to rebuild his life after getting out of prison, where he had been for the past five years due to his sentence.

John told Fox 5 that he had been struggling with an addiction to pornography, and wound up with thousands of files of various types, both adult, child … Sometimes pretty horrific stuff."

He was already a paralegal when he went to prison, and studied law while inside, helping fellow inmates with legal work while he was serving out his sentence.

"I was kind of surprised how quickly the process went," John then mentioned, talking about his eventual hiring at Loudon County. "And I was expecting there to be the background check, of course. Everyone does a background check these days."

He commented that he expected to be interviewed about his past when Human Resources gave him an appointment, "But instead it turned into, 'Here’s your badge, here’s all the access you need for the computers.'"

"I would immediately start working on different cases and had immediate access to the files."

He said further that there were no issues until his probation officer texted him concerned about his access to these sensitive files, and that's when the office found out about his sex offender status.

Loudon County is also famous for incorporating "woke" social policies into their schools.
