It has been revealed that a healthcare clinic operating inside Seattle Public Schools has been offering free sex change treatments to students, according to emails obtained by the Daily Wire.

This includes providing hormone therapy injections, which the clinic referred to as "lifesaving care" for minors.

Neighborcare Health has clinics inside SPS middle and elementary schools. The Post Millennial previously reported that the clinic has been offering students sex change referrals; however, internal documents obtained by Parents Defending Education through a public records request revealed that the clinic is now providing hormone therapy injections.

"The Neighborcare Health team wanted to share an exciting new update to our School-based Health Center services," a program manager for Neighborcare Health wrote in an email. "Our program will begin offering comprehensive, evidence-based, gender-affirming care services to our students and families who need them."

"While our School-based Health Centers have long offered a continuum of gender-affirming care services including supportive student counseling, promotion of social identity, and health education, this step will allow us to begin offering families access to important medical interventions including hormone treatments," said the manager.

Neighborcare operates 14 separate school-based clinics in the Seattle Public Schools and Vashon Island School District. Though the clinic announced over a year ago that it would start offering hormone therapy at some of its school-based clinics, it does not openly admit to providing so-called "gender-affirming care," which is notably absent from its "services offered" list.

Additionally, the company representative said in the email that Neighborcare's initial entry into the field of pediatric hormone therapy would be a trial program and that parental consent would be required before any irreversible medication was administered.

Neighborcare defended its decision to offer students sex change treatments and told the Daily Wire: "Gender-affirming care in its many forms represents life-saving care for many of the youth and their families who choose it. Neighborcare Health offers care for transgender and non-binary students that aligns with best practices defined by regional and national pediatric care authorities and is aimed at meeting needs expressed by the students and families we serve."

Medical institutions who profit from giving children irreversible cross-sex hormones say their operations are "life-saving," yet some European countries have recently banned puberty blockers, hormone therapies, and other sex change medical treatments for minors, according to the New York Times.

In 2023, Democratic lawmakers decided to declare Washington a sanctuary state for kids seeking sex change treatments. If a child's parents or guardians refuse to approve sex change surgeries for their child, authorities are legally allowed to kidnap them.

Earlier this month, the Seattle School Board approved a proposal to close 20 of the district's 70 elementary schools following a $100 million annual budget gap.
